President Donald Trump has adorned the White House with golden embellishments to match the alterations he's implemented since reassuming his role.
The president has employed executive orders to enact major alterations within the federal administration and asserted broad authorities that are currently facing legal challenges, thereby disrupting the international framework and unsettling equity markets. Although his reshaping of the White House may not be as overtly drastic, it certainly does not lack nuance. the Wall Street Journal reported .
The newspaper stated, "Trump has transformed sections of the White House into gold, giving the world's most iconic address an appearance reminiscent of Mar-a-Lago, his Florida resort." To aid in this transformation of the White House, Trump enlisted an individual whom one of his advisors called the president's 'golden touch specialist.' "

John Icart, a cabinetmaker based in South Florida who has undertaken work at Mar-a-Lago, has contributed intricately carved gilt decorations for both the fireplace mantle and the surrounding moldings of the Oval Office. Administration sources indicate that President Trump closely supervised these installations himself and even transported golden putti from his personal residence at Mar-a-Lago directly to the White House.
“The Golden Office for the Golden Era,” stated White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Next to the Resolute Desk sits a prominent golden FIFA World Cup trophy, while seven gilded vases and urns grace the mantelshelf where plants were once placed under President Joe Biden’s tenure and Donald Trump’s initial term. Officials mentioned that the current president consulted specialists to ascertain if installing a chandelier was feasible within the Oval Office.
The chandelier project couldn't proceed right away as the fixture proved too heavy for the section of the ceiling they inspected," according to the Journal. "However, the initiative might still be implemented in another location, noted a high-ranking administrative officer.
The president is transforming the White House in various ways to make it look more like Mar-a-Lago, where he organized evening gatherings and acted as a DJ following dinners when he was out of office.

On the very day Trump entered the White House, he immediately began planning modifications for his new office space. This included constructing a patio within the Rose Garden where he envisioned hosting alfresco dinners and outdoor gatherings, as informed sources revealed to The Journal. Additionally, the report stated that President Trump mentioned concerns about women potentially having their high heels sink into the garden’s lawn.
According to the newspaper, he has also mentioned constructing a ballroom on the White House premises for hosting events, as stated by the individuals.
